Nokia X100 Goes Official | The 5G-ready Smartphone

Currently, there is a race among the smartphone manufacturer to produce 5 G-ready smartphones in the mid-range segment. Though we dont have 5G Network Providers in Nepal, we have a couple of smartphones with 5G ready: Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, Poco M3 Pro 5G, and a few others. Finally, Nokia is also in this race and announced Nokia X100 with 5G. In this blog, we are discussing specs, features, and expected price of Nokia X100 in Nepal.

Nokia X100 Overview

Design/Display

The trendy punch-hole cutout arrives with Nokia X100 but the bezel on the bottom for housing Nokia branding is a bit outdated. Nokia X100 has 171.4 x 79.7 x 9.1 mm dimensions and a weight of 217 grams. On the back panel, it has a circular camera bump at the top center. The Nokia branding logo is just below it.

Nokia X100 comes in a 6.67-inches IPS LCD which supports 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. This display has a 78.6% screen-to-body ratio, 20:9 aspect ratio, 395 ppi density and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Performance

Nokia X100 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G processor. It’s one of the recently announced chipsets by Qualcomm which has integrated the Qualcomm X51 5G modem. It’s a lower mainstream octa-core SoC with a clock speed up to 2.0Ghz based on 8nm technology.

This chipset is coupled with Adreno 619 GPU for taking care of all the graphics-related tasks of the phone. Onto the memory, it has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This storage can be expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card. Furthermore, the company will provide free 15GB Google DriveCloud Storage with this smartphone.

Camera

Inside the circular camera bump on the rear panel, Nokia X100 has a Quad Rear camera with ZEISS Optics. The circular bump reminds us of Poco X3 Pro. The camera is led by a 48MP Primary Wide lens. The other lens is a 5MP ultrawide lens, 2MP Macro Lens, and 2MP Depth Sensor. It has ZEISS Portrait, Night mode, HDR, Beautification, Watermark features. On the front, Nokia X100 has a 16MP front-facing camera with video recording in 1080@30fps.

Battery & Others

Nokia X100 packs a non-removable 4470mAh battery and also supports 18W fast charging, Quick Charge 3.0, and USB Type-C 2.0. This device is running on Android 11 and upgradable to Android 12. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor is available in the device and it’s available in just one color: Midnight Blue.
