Nokia G21 Overview

Design/Display

Not a new design as Nokia G21 arrives with the same design mostly found in a typical budget smartphone. It has a water-drop notch on the top but thick bezels at the chin which is completely eyesore. The front design is identical to Nokia C30 which is an entry-level smartphone. The gadget measures 64.6 x 75.9 x 8.5 mm and weighs 190grams.

Nokia G21 comes in a 6.5-inches IPS LCD display with the support of 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. Interestingly, it supports a 90Hz refresh rate, also found in Poco M4 5G announced recently. The display has an 81.6% screen-to-body ratio, 20:9 ratio, and 270 ppi density.

Performance

Under the hood, Nokia G21 is powered by Unisoc T606 SoC. Its an octa-core processor based on 12nm with a maximum clock speed of up to 1.6GHz. FYI, this is the same chipset that also powers Tecno Spark 8C. Paired with this octa-core processor, we have Mali-G57 MP1 GPU for graphical works.

Moving onto the memory, it has 3/4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB internal storage. It also has a dedicated microSD card for memory expansion up to 512GB. Nokia G21 is running on Android 11.

Camera

Heading towards the photography of the device, it has triple rear cameras fitted inside the rectangular camera bump in the vertical module. It has a 50MP Primary wide lens with an f/1.8 aperture. The other sensors are a 2MP Macro lens and 2MP Depth Sensors. A single 8MP Selfie camera is placed in the water-drop notch for selfies and video calls. Both of these cameras can record video in 1080p at 30fps.

Battery and Others

Nokia G21 is fueled by a non-removable, Li-Po 5000mAh battery with the support of 18W fast charging and USB Type-C 2.0. This is the same fast-charging capacity found in Tecno Pova Neo.

For biometrics, it has side-mounted fingerprint sensors as well as Face Unlock. It supports NFC for selected regions, Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity, and is available in Nordic Blue, and Dusk color variants.
