OnePlus 9RT Goes Official | Nepal Launch Awaits

Earlier this year, OnePlus had launched two new flagship smartphones: OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. The third smartphone under this lineup is launched as the OnePlus 9RT. It can be termed as a turned down version or spin-off of the main lineup. In this blog, we are discussing the expected price of OnePlus 9RT in Nepal, its specs and features. 

OnePlus 9RT Outline

The Nord Series by OnePlus is doing decent business in the market and the company has launched OnePlus 9RT with the same thought. To cut the price, OnePlus has sacrificed some of the features available in the regular OnePlus 9. Some key specs of this OnePlus 9RT are:

120Hz Refresh Rate

The design of the OnePlus 9RT is highly inspired from its elder sibling, the OnePlus 9. With minimum bezels all around the display, punch-hole cutout is located at the top-left corner. This smartphone measures 162.2 x 74.6 x 8.3 mm and weighs 198.5 grams. 

It comes in a 6.62-inches AMOLED display which supports Always-on display and 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. OnePlus 9RT comes with 120Hz refresh rate which has been common in smartphones these days. Even a smartphone costing around Rs. 24K like Realme 8i arrives with 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, this display has 87.9% screen-to-body ratio, 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+, 397 ppi density and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. 

Snapdragon 888 Chipset

There is no compromise from the company in terms of performance in this device as it is powered by flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. This is the same processor that powers OnePlus 9 Pro. This octa-core processor has max clock speed up to 2.84GHz which is based on 5nm technology. 

Coupled with this flagship processor, it has an Adreno 660 GPU for taking care of graphics. On the memory side, this device has 8/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. Sadly, there is no memory expandable slot in the device. 

Camera

The spec where the company has made a sacrifice is its camera as this device doesn’t have Hasselblad branding. But it still has a powerful camera respecting its price. The primary camera is Sony’s 50MP IMX766 with Optical Image Stabilization which is supported by 16MP ultra wide lens with 123˚ FOV and 2MP Macro Lens. By the right of these three camera sensors, it has Dual-LED flash and also supports Digital Overlap HDR. 

On the front, it has a 16MP Front facing camera with auto-HDR. For video recording, the rear camera can record in 4K@30/60fps whereas the front in 1080p@30fps.

Battery & Others

Another important spec of this smartphone is its battery which is 4500mAh in capacity. It also supports 65W fast charging and it can fully charge within 29minutes of charging, according to the company. It can be charged with USB Type-C 2.0 which also supports USB On-The-Go.

Optical under-display fingerprint sensor is available as biometric security alongside Face Unlock. It’s running on ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 and available in Black, Silver, and Blue color variants.
