Oppo Pad Goes Official with 2.5K 120Hz Screen

Almost every big player in the smartphone market has a Tablet business. Some of the latest addition to this competition are Nokia T20, Realme Pad, and a few others. Oppo has been silent but now, the company has launched its first-ever tablet as Oppo Pad. Oppo Pad Overview

During the launch event of the Find X5 Series, the company has announced Oppo Pad. Being the first from the company, Oppo tried to do everything right and produced a high-end tablet which will be giving a tough time to other gadgets in the market. Design/Display

Oppo Pad comes in an 11-inches IPS LCD display supporting 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution. This resolution is higher than Nokia T20 Tablet’s 2K display. This display has a 120Hz refresh rate, the same as Xiaomi Pad 5. Likewise, it has an 84.9% screen-to-body ratio, 16:10 ratio, 480nits brightness, and 274 ppi density. 

It has a circular rear camera island on the top-left corner and the OPPO text logo dispersed in the whole panel. With flat edges and a dual-tone finish, this device measures 252.2 x 163.8 x 7.1 mm and weighs 507 grams. 

Performance

As Oppo Pad is a flagship tablet, it brings a flagship processor with it. It’s powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G. This is the same chipset that powers Realme GT Neo 2. FYI, Xiaomi Pad Pro is also powered by this Snapdragon 870 5G processor but it’s exclusive to China. 

Paired with this 7nm octa-core processor, it has Adreno 650 GPU. Onto the memory, it has 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB internal storage. Android 11 runs on Oppo Pad out of the box with ColorOS 12 as the skin of the tab.

Camera

The camera specs of the tablet are mostly mediocre and Oppo Pad is no exception. This device has 13MP Primary lens with the support of an LED flash. But actually, this rear camera is higher than 8MP found in Samsung Galaxy Tab A8. On the front side, we get a single 8MP selfie Camera. 1080p at 30fps is the video recording capacity of both cameras.

Battery & Others

With the support of 33W fast charging and USB Type-C 2.0, the Oppo Pad packs an 8360 mAh battery. It also supports reverse charging and USB Power Delivery. The device will hit the market in Black, Silver, Purple color variants.

Furthermore, Oppo Pad attached Oppo Pencil, which is an in-house product. For a better audio experience, it has Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio effects with a quad-speaker setup.

Oppo Pad is launched in China with a starting price of CNY 2,299 for the 6/128GB variant. This price is without Oppo Pencil and smart magnetic keyboard which cost CNY 499 and CNY 399 respectively. The expected price of OPPO Pad in Nepal is Rs. 45,999 for base 6/128GB.
