The front view of Realme 9i seems highly inspired by Realme 8 and we have no complaints about that as both are from the same family brand. The phone is slim, fashionable, and easier to carry. The rear camera is now placed inside the vertical camera module and Realme branding below it. It has dimensions of 164.4 x 75.7 x 8.4 mm and a weight of 190 grams.
Realme 9i comes in a 6.6-inch FHD+ display and also supports 1080 x 2412 pixels resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. As elder siblings, it also has a punch-hole working as a notch for housing the Selfie Camera, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 400 PPI density. For built quality, it has plastic on the frame, back panel, and Dragontrail Pro Glass protecting the display.
Performance
Under the hood, Realme 8i is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. This is an octa-core processor announced in October and focused on a long-lasting battery, Optimized gaming, and Enhanced camera experience but depends on how smartphones use it or coupled with the installed software. FYI, this is the same processor used in some of the recent Vivo smartphones like Vivo Y21e, Vivo Y33T, and other smartphones.
For now, the device is available in two variants: 4/64GB and 6/128GB but can be expandable via a microSD card. It packs Adreno 610 GPU for graphics.

With a new camera module, Realme 9i packs triple rear cameras. It has a primary sensor of 50MP and is supported by a 2MP Macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. LED flash is placed by the right of the primary sensor inside the bump and can record video in 1080p at 30fps. On the front, it has a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Some of the photographic functions for the front-facing camera are Night Mode, Panoramic view, Timelapse, Portrait Mode, AI Beauty, and many more.

Realme 9i packs a 5000mAh battery which is now common in mid-range smartphones. The recently announced Moto G51 5G also arrives with this battery capacity.
