Design/Display

We are pretty familiar with the design of this smartphone as it has a water-drop notch on the top with a rectangular camera island on the top-left corner of the rear panel. This device measures 164.5 x 76.9 x 8.4 mm. 

Samsung Galaxy A23 comes in a 6.6-inches TFT LCD display with the support of a 90Hz refresh rate. The sibling Samsung Galaxy A33 5G also arrives with the same refresh rate. Likewise, it has an 83.0% screen-to-body ratio, 20:9 aspect ratio, and supports 1080 x 2408 pixels resolution. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. 

Performance

Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy A23 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset, the same chipset that powers Oppo A76 launched recently in Nepal. This is an octa-core processor based on a 6nm mobile platform with a max clock speed up to 2.4GHz. 

Handling the graphics of this smartphone is done by Adreno 610 GPU. Moving onto the memory, it has 4/6/8GB RAM and 64/128GB internal storage. Thankfully, it has a dedicated MicroSD slot for memory expansion.

Camera

The camera has been the highest flex for the mid-range smartphones of Samsung phones and this device is no exception. Samsung Galaxy A23 arrives with a 50MP Primary wide lens with the support of OIS. The other sensors of this device are a 5MP ultrawide lens with 123˚ FOV, 2MP Macro Lens, and a 2MP Depth Sensor. FYI, this camera combination is a xerox of Samsung Galaxy M33 5G.

A single 8MP Camera is available inside the water-drop notch for selfies and video calls. For the video recording, the rear camera can be shot in 4K at 30fps and the front in 1080p at 30fps.
