Just like Oppo F19 Pro, Samsung smartphones are now much more sleek, slim, and comfortable to hold in the hand. The company has marketed this device as one of the slimmest smartphones as it has dimensions of 164.2 x 76.4 x 7.4 mm and a weight of 173 grams. It has punch-hole cutout on the top-center of the display which the company termed as Infinity-O display and the rear panel has vertical stripes running from edge to edge.
Galaxy M52 5G comes in a 6.7-inches FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus display. Most importantly, this device features a 120Hz refresh rate which has been a compulsory feature in mid-range phones. Even Realme 8i, a smartphone costing less than Rs. 25K in Nepal, has an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz. It supports 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, has 86.4 screen-to-body ratio, 20:9 aspect ratio and 393 PPI density. This display is 2X smoother compared to its predecessor Galaxy M51.
Performance
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset. It’s the same processor that powers Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G and Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, both of them are recently launched in Nepal. This processor is based on 6nm technology, an octa-core processor with a max clock speed up to 2.4GHz.
Adreno 642L is present in the device to handle graphics of the smartphone. Onto the memory, it has 6/8GB DDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. The storage can be expandable via MicroSD card.
Camera
The selling point of Samsung’s mid-range smartphone is its camera and Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is no exception. As already mentioned, it has a triple rear camera which is led by 64MP Primary Lens. It is supported by a 12MP Ultrawide lens with 123˚Field of View and 5MP Macro Lens. This camera lacks Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
On the front, it has a single 32 MP Selfie Camera placed inside the punch-hole on the screen. The rear camera can record video in 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps, and selfie camera in 1080@30fps.
